Chicago Citywide Marble Run Challenge

Develop your marble run skills with neighbors and STEAMbassadors!

Drop in to participate as part of your neighborhood marble run team! Led by STEAMbassadors, college-going students passionate about building, making, coding, designing, analyzing, creating, or engineering for fun or to solve problems. Your team will build marble runs that are tall, long, and wide, with turns and drops. Test and iterate on your runs to make them as fast or slow as you want.

Each library can submit to the CPL Birthday Challenge by creating a 150-piece marble run to celebrate the library's 150th birthday. Will it be in the shape of a Library owl or a birthday cake!? You and your fellow builders get to decide!

Finally, if you are feeling ready to race, participate as a library team in the Citywide Marble Run obstacle course that will take place at Truman College on August 2nd.
